Terra Fairy and a Ornament

This is what I was able to finish on Terra this week, not as much as I had hoped for but I am a little over 1900 stitches so i am fairly pleased. Only 600 more stitches to go before the top 3 rows are done :)

I was also able to get my febuary ornament done this week - well the stitching anyways. I think that I will be finishing this as a flat padded ornament but I need to get to Marden's in Waterville next week and pick up some trim, cording and a tassel.

SK Flower Fairy's Rest Update

So I feel like I am really starting to make some headway on this. I am now 2,000 stitches in and that puts me about 16 % done. She is coming off the Q-snaps today for a much needed bath, as you can see my hoop left some yucky marks. I am about to order some 8 inch Q-snaps and then I am throwing all of my darn hoops away !! I really want to keep working on this one though, I am really enjoying it :) I think though that I am going to work on Twilight while she is being cleaned and dried, I would really like to get a good start on page 3 as it has a ton of 939 in it.

In other news I officially start school today ! I am taking online courses through UMA and am majoring in Library Science's. I looked at some of the assignments that are posted on my class website and let me tell you I am scared right out of my britches, I don't know what the heck I was thinking !! Both classes are 100 level classes but the amount of assignments seems a bit overwhelming ! Wish me luck !

Another Goal Down !!

Well I managed to stitch a little Reindeer Ornie last night and even get it finished !! I am just so proud of myself :) Now I need to pick which goal to wipe out next. I think I am going to bring Lissandrea out to see the light again, though Flower fairy's rest is screaming at me. I will be back later on today at some point with a picture of the Reindeer. The house is to gloomy right now for a good picture, I miss summer when the sun comes up early. I have been awake since 3am this morning waiting for some sunlight so that I can get a good photo of it. Anyways , off to go pull out Lissandrea.

1 Goal Reached

Well I just feel like doing a Happy Dance :) I have finished one of my goals for this month, exceeded it even. I was to put 200 stitches into Twilight and managed to put about 700 in 2 days Yeah !! I am pulling it from the Q-snaps today, though if I have time come the end of the month it will go back in for a few days for some work on page 3.
It really looks so much better in person, the colors blend a lot better when you can step back from it. Overall I am really happy with it. I think for the rest of the day I will work on an ornament for the 12 ornament challenge. I have several that I want to stitch , it's going to be hard to choose. Not only do I want to stitch for my tree but I would also like to be able to give some away as gifts. Lets hope that my needle keeps on smoking !! Have a wonderful day.

First stitches of 2011

I think that I will be putting my first stitches of 2011 into Twilight. I figure there are about 400-500 stitches left to finish out page 2 and that's what I will be doing. I really can't wait to see this one finished. I really like how the finished piece looks , but darn there is so much dark blue in it. My baby girl "Baby Red" has already claimed it as her's and has a spot all ready for it above the head of her bed LOL ! She ask's me all the time why I'm not working on it :) So to appease the 7 year old I will attempt to get page 2 finished then only 7 more to go ! I will be back by the end of the week with photo's, if I am lucky maybe sooner !

Gone and done it !

I don't know if you have heard about the cool new challenge for 2011 or not. Anyways the challenge is to pick 15 projects and finish them for 2011. I think that this is an awesome idea. I have at least 14 UFO's/sWIP in my craft drawers that I would love to see done for 2011. I will work on a list over the next week or so :)
