Here is my update on Lissandrea - this is week 1 of the SAL from the 123 Message board. I am so happy I got page 1 finished off and now i am starting to block in page 2. I worked on her a little bit Friday , all day Saturday and a tiny bit this morning. I have to say that so far this SAL is helping to keep me motivated on her, I like devoting Saturday's to her. I may go ahead and up it to all day Saturday and Sunday.

I have pulled out the block for the CQ RR - this is Susan's block . I really need to get my butt in gear as Friday it needs to be in the mail for it's trip over the pond to Janet. I really don't know what I am going to do yet - I am off to go check out the blog Pin Tangle for some idea's :) If you click the blog name it will bring you there

A Busy Week - Picture Heavy

This past week has been very busy stitching wise. I put a few hundred more stitches into Lissandrea and now the hole in page 1 of her is much smaller, I hope to be able to finish off page 1 this upcoming week.

I also put a few more stitches into Pumpkin Hollow Farm, I am working on the house today so if I am very lucky I will be able to get it done by tonight. However I am doing the house in WEEK's Cocoa so that slows it down a bit.

I restarted my HAED's Magic Witch on the 22ct this week also - I am a bit further along now then this photo show's. I am up to 600 stitches on it.

I also stitched up a bookmark for an exchange that I am in. I will do the finishing on it in the a.m. as it need to be mailed out tomorrow. This was so much fun to stitch up, I have decided that I will be doing 3 or 4 more for Christmas gifts .

A New SAL On 123 Stitch

There is a new SAL starting on the 123 Stitch Message Board and I am quite excited by it. You can pick a HAED or Mystic Stitch project to do. I think that I am joining in with Lissandrea as she is feeling quite neglected as of late. This SAL also might help me to reach my 3 page goal for Lissandrea this year.

So here's the deal/rules...
1) Pick a project. If you're using a project you've already started...take a starting picture.

2) Send me your board name, e-mail address, name of the project, who its designed by, and a before picture or let me know its a new project. I'll put details into a spreadsheet (It won't get shared with anyone) to track the number of updates with stitching you make in the 52 year period.

3) I'll do my BEST to start a post every Sunday (HAED and MS SAL - week xx) for everyone to post an update to. You'll need to post your update within 2 days of the initial post. This way if I get sick or something and I don't end up able to start the post unitl Monday or something, you'll still have 2 days to post your progress.

4) And my favorite part...which will not impact me obviously...In the event that you are uber skilled or just highly motivated...if you finish your HAED or MS piece prior to the 52 weeks being over...you have to start another one. :-) You have to send me the details as in step 2 .

Another Goal Down !!

Well I managed to stitch a little Reindeer Ornie last night and even get it finished !! I am just so proud of myself :) Now I need to pick which goal to wipe out next. I think I am going to bring Lissandrea out to see the light again, though Flower fairy's rest is screaming at me. I will be back later on today at some point with a picture of the Reindeer. The house is to gloomy right now for a good picture, I miss summer when the sun comes up early. I have been awake since 3am this morning waiting for some sunlight so that I can get a good photo of it. Anyways , off to go pull out Lissandrea.

We Have An Arm !!

Well I am beginning to see something, a bit of an arm. Pg 1 is almost complete. I can't wait to move on to pg 2 !!! It won't be much longer now.

Ready For More?

Well here she is, i feel like I am making a bit of headway on her. Her arm is starting to take shape so that is nice, I did a bit of the top row on page 3 and starting to get the hole closed on page 1. The end of page 1 is in site, maybe 3 or 4 more days to close the gap in that page.

Lissandrea Update

Well this is as much progress as I have made on her, she is going into the tub today for a bath as she has gotten to be quite dingy. as soon as she dry's i will be putting in a few more days on her before switching back to the Quaker. I have just ordered a set of Q snaps from 123 stitch. I can't stand the hoop marks ! I wish i could figure out a way to keep the fabric a bit cleaner on her, I think I will end up giving her a bath every couple of weeks :(

A little bit more

I decided to do a progress pic before I reached the end of this page. I think that I will do one every few days or so, it might help to keep me motivated.Well the top pic is from yesterday and the bottom pic is from today. Not bad progress, but all of this darn confetti stitch is gonna drive me mad!!


The next page doesn't look so bad confetti wise, can't wait to get this one done. I am shooting for another week but we'll see how she stitches up. Starting to get into a bit of her arm, can't wait to get to page 3 so she will have a bit of a face :)

Lissandrea progress

So I really thought that I would be a lot further on this then I am. This is page one ( Of Twenty !!) and a wee little bit of page 2. It takes forever to do a little 10x10 square. In one square I counted over 30 colour changes!!! At this pace it will take another 2 years to finish this big ass thing LOL !!
However I love how it is looking, when I reach page 3 I will be working on the top of her head and a bit of her face so then it will really start to look like something. Right now it's all background which is a PITA. Will do another update when I finish page 1.
