A dear friend of mine let me use his camera to snap this photo. This is 1/2 of page 1 of Twilight, doesn't look like much of the moment but when I hit pg 2 I will get to stitch with a bit of colour, can't wait.
Well for the moment I am down, the colour coil in my laptop blew. Will take awhile before I have the $$ to get it fixed. On the other hand I am able to get a lot more stitching time in. I am almost done with pg. 1 of Twilight. I had to restart it as I didn't like the coverage that 2 stands was giving so I switched it out for 3 strands. Much bettter now. After I finish pg 1 I will finish off pg 1 of Lissandrea.I hope I will be able to find a way to post photo's soon.
Well I am starting Twilight, page 1 is mostly 939 with a bit of 310 thrown in. I have my fist 1,000 stitches mapped out. After this 1,000 I will switch over to Lissandrea for 1,000. Just chilling out watching the Supernatural marathon on TBS. I just love this show :)
That I am going to need a rotation!! I just received 2 new charts , the first is of Vin Diesel and the second is of Bella and Edward from Twilight( really gonna need a rotation for this one as it calls for 10 skeins of 939). ( I got these charts from Celtic Rose) and I also have another coming of David Draiman - the lead singer of Disturbed. They are all screaming at me. I also need to get the quilt finished too, well before Spring anyways.
So while cleaning this morning I came across this long forgotten quilt. I have no idea of when I started it, maybe 4-5 years ago. However all of the pieces are here ( I think) so I guess it's time to finish it off. I think i will make it into a picnic blanket for next Spring/Summer. The blocks are made out of old jeans and the pink fabric is some sort of flannel stuff that a lady that works at the local thrift store gave me.
Well I am beginning to see something, a bit of an arm. Pg 1 is almost complete.
I can't wait to move on to pg 2 !!! It won't be much longer now.
Well here she is, i feel like I am making a bit of headway on her. Her arm is starting to take shape so that is nice, I did a bit of the top row on page 3 and starting to get the hole closed on page 1. The end of page 1 is in site, maybe 3 or 4 more days to close the gap in that page.
Well this is as much progress as I have made on her, she is going into the tub today for a bath as she has gotten to be quite dingy. as soon as she dry's i will be putting in a few more days on her before switching back to the Quaker. I have just ordered a set of Q snaps from 123 stitch. I can't stand the hoop marks ! I wish i could figure out a way to keep the fabric a bit cleaner on her, I think I will end up giving her a bath every couple of weeks :(
so I was sitting reading the 123 message board this morning and came cross a post about the Diabetes Tree. I think that this is a wonderful charity and plan on making a few ornaments this year. Will you please join me ?
Here is a link so that you can read more about it:

So this is my latest start, I needed a break from all of the confetti stitching in Lissandrea. This is a freebie from the Gazette94 blog, I'll put a link at the end of this post. This is a really quick stitch, I think that it will go in my kitchen when I am done stitching it. However now I am going to have to hunt a place to get it framed , anyone know of a good place here in maine???
In other news I won a contest for a 20 $ gift certificate on the 123 Stitch message board. I was so amazed, I'm not the type of person who wins anything. Now I can buy some charts that I have had my eye on :)

I decided to do a progress pic before I reached the end of this page. I think that I will do one every few days or so, it might help to keep me motivated.Well the top pic is from yesterday and the bottom pic is from today. Not bad progress, but all of this darn confetti stitch is gonna drive me mad!!
The next page doesn't look so bad confetti wise, can't wait to get this one done. I am shooting for another week but we'll see how she stitches up. Starting to get into a bit of her arm, can't wait to get to page 3 so she will have a bit of a face :)
So I really thought that I would be a lot further on this then I am. This is page one ( Of Twenty !!) and a wee little bit of page 2. It takes forever to do a little 10x10 square. In one square I counted over 30 colour changes!!! At this pace it will take another 2 years to finish this big ass thing LOL !!However I love how it is looking, when I reach page 3 I will be working on the top of her head and a bit of her face so then it will really start to look like something. Right now it's all background which is a PITA. Will do another update when I finish page 1.
I know I have been MIA for awhile but life has taken some crazy turns for me . On July the 24 my grandmother went into the hospital. She went in on her 83rd birthday, needless to say she has not yet left the hospital. We have almost lost her 4 times now :( I will not bore you with all the grim detail but we will be bringing her home soon where she can be at home to see the end. I will be driving everyday to her house to help my uncle tend to her.
On to other news, I have recently lost my quilting mojo so until I am am able to find it again I have decided to try my hand at cross stitch. I guess that they have really come a long way in the world of cross stitch since I last dabbled in in 17 years ago. Before everything looked all cutsey and countryish. I have recently discovered Mystic Stitch and Heaven and earth designs. The pattern above is called Lissandrea. I ordered it and have put my first few stitches in.
It's gonna take me forever to finish this but that's alright, it will help me to keep my mind off of things. Anyways I also picked out a few little witch patterns from HAED, I think they are like 7x10 or so. I figure that I will swap between the big and the little.
